In 1978, the first ever email sent for marketing purposes netted $13 million, and one of the highest used forms of marketing (email marketing) was born. In fact to this day, email marketing has the highest conversion rates of any marketing channel. It is one of the few marketing channels that you can use in your business to build a true connection with your audience and provide value.

If the proper strategy is put into place, email marketing can be both a relationship building, and profit making tool. I always tell everyone that I work with, that email subscribers are more important that social media followers. Social media followers are most times comprised of friends, family members, and other acquaintances who simply follow your page because they know you, but they are not necessarily interested in your business, or what you have to offer or sell. On the contrary, if an individual decides to subscribe to your email list, they are genuinely interested in what you have to say or offer. This is where delivering valuable content and establishing a connection with your audience comes into play.
